Sebastian Tuna is studying for a PhD in Music Composition, at the National Academy of Music „Gheorghe Dima” in Cluj-Napoca (Ro), with Prof. Adrian Pop. As well, he is assistant professor at the National Academy of Music „Gh. Dima” in Cluj-Napoca.
Over the years he received an exceptional musical education at Emanuel University in Oradea (Ro), at the National Academy of Music „Gh. Dima” in Cluj-Napoca, at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan (It), at Mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (At). He participated in numerous courses, masterclasses or workshops given by outstanding composers and professors such as Adrian Pop, Cornel Țăranu, Sabin Pautza, Doina Rotaru, Michael Jarrell, Ivan Fedele, Peter Ruzicka, José Manuel López López, Tristan Murail, Stefano Gervasoni, Alessandro Solbiati, Gabriele Manca, Toshio Hosokawa, Allain Gaussin, François Paris, Bruno Mantovani, Philip Cashian, Augustin Fernandes, Edgard Alandia, Yann Robin, Francesco Filidei and other exceptional composers and professors.
Over the years, he also participated in numerous competitions for composers, and for his activities, as composer, he was rewarded with an impressive number of awards and scholarships. His creation includes a wide range of genres as solo works, music for choir, songs, chamber music, opera scenes, symphonic and vocal-symphonic works.
His recognition is validated by his constant presence in various concerts and festivals, both nationally and internationally.
